Seller terms for UK bed companies

Last updated 2026-10-21.

These seller terms are the agreement for UK bed companies selling in the BedGuide shop. You need a verified directory profile and your own Stripe account. You are the seller of record. You deliver, handle returns and follow UK consumer and fire-safety law. BedGuide takes 15% of the first £175 of each order and 10% of the rest, through Stripe.

Please note: These seller terms are a plain-English summary prepared before launch. They are still being reviewed. They are not legal advice. Take your own advice if you need it.

1. Who is this agreement between?

This agreement is between Elite Digital AI Solutions Ltd (“BedGuide”, “we”) and the business selling in the shop (“you”). Elite Digital AI Solutions Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17250017, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ.

This is a business-to-business agreement. You accept it when you agree to it on the seller application, and again each time you list a product.

2. Who can sell in the BedGuide shop?

Apply on the sell on BedGuide page. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from bots. Our editor reviews every application. We may refuse an application, and we will tell you why. Our company checks explain how a profile is verified.

3. Do I need a Stripe account?

Yes. You need a Stripe Connect Standard account. That is your own Stripe account, connected to BedGuide. Stripe is the payment company that takes the customer’s card payment.

4. What are my legal duties as the seller?

You are the seller of record, also called the merchant of record. The contract for the goods is between you and the customer. You must follow the law that applies to you. This includes:

Tell us at once if a product you list is recalled or found unsafe.

5. What must a listing include?

Each listing must be accurate and complete. It must show:

Do not make medical claims, such as “cures back pain”. Do not add reviews, star ratings or claims you cannot prove. Our editor checks each listing before it goes live. We may change wording to fit our plain English style. We will ask you before we change a fact.

Keep prices, sizes and stock up to date. Tell us promptly when anything changes.

6. How do orders work?

The customer pays on Stripe Checkout. The payment is made straight to your Stripe account. This is called a direct charge. When the payment succeeds, we email the order to your order address. The email includes the customer’s name, delivery address, phone number and email address.

7. What is the BedGuide fee?

Our fee is 15% of the first £175 of each order and 10% of the rest. For Premium partners, it is 12% of the first £175 of each order and 8% of the rest. This follows the usual UK furniture-marketplace structure. The fee applies to the total the customer pays for the order, including delivery.

Stripe takes the fee automatically from each payment as an application fee. You can see it on each payment in your Stripe dashboard. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our fee.

We will give you 30 days’ notice by email before we change the fee. A new fee applies only to orders placed after the change.

8. How do refunds and chargebacks work?

9. Can BedGuide use my product images and text?

Yes, for your listings. You give BedGuide a free, non-exclusive licence to copy, resize and show your product images, text, product names and logos. We use them to list and describe your products on BedGuide. That includes our machine-readable copies, such as feeds and data files.

You confirm you own these materials or have permission to use them. The licence ends when the listing is removed. Old copies may take a short time to clear from caches.

10. Who looks after customer data?

You are the controller of the customer details you receive. A controller is the business that decides how personal data is used. You may use the details only to fulfil and support the order. That covers delivery, returns, faults and your legal duties.

BedGuide is the controller of its own order records. Our privacy policy explains what we keep.

11. Does selling change what BedGuide writes?

No. Selling in the shop buys a place in the shop, nothing more.

Paid featured slots are a separate product. They are covered by the partner plan terms.

12. When can BedGuide pause a listing?

We can pause or remove a listing at any time if:

We will tell you by email and explain why.

13. How can either side end this agreement?

Either side can end this agreement with 30 days’ notice by email. We can end it at once for a serious breach, such as selling unsafe goods or fraud. When it ends, we remove your listings. You must still deliver and support orders already placed. Our fee on those orders still applies.

14. What are the limits of liability?

15. Can these terms change?

We will give you 30 days’ notice by email of any change. If you do not agree, you can end the agreement before the change starts.

16. Which law applies?

This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
