How we write short answers

Each short extract replies to one UK search question in plain English. This build has 130 of them. The short answer comes first. Google is told to index the full guide, not the extract. A skip-it note says who should use the full guide instead. We do not invent prices, brand rankings or medical advice.

What is an answers page for?

An extract is a short, extractable reply. It is not a second copy of a long guide for Google. Each extract uses a canonical link to the deep guide and a noindex robots tag, so one question has one indexable URL. The answers hub stays indexed. It lists the questions and points at the guides. The deep guide holds the tables, sources and exceptions.

What does every answers page contain?

The question as the page title and the H1.
A 40–60 word answer at the top (the BLUF).
A “who should skip this page” note.
A short “what else should I know?” paragraph.
A link to the matching encyclopedia guide or comparison.
A visible updated date that matches the sitemap lastmod.

Who should skip /answers?

Skip them if you need the full construction story, a comparison table, or a company profile. Use the deep link on the page. Skip them if you want a ranked “best mattress” list. We will not write those. See how we write guides and the editorial policy.
