  2. Connect Stripe. We send you a secure Stripe link. You open or connect your own Stripe account, so customer payments go straight to your business.
  3. List your products. Send each bed or mattress with sizes in centimetres, prices, delivery charges, materials and fire-safety labelling. An editor checks every listing.

What does it cost to sell beds online on BedGuide?

There is no joining fee and no monthly fee. BedGuide takes 15% of the first £175 of each order and 10% of the rest, worked out on the total the customer pays, including delivery. This is the same structure UK furniture marketplaces use, and lower than most once you add their monthly fees. Premium partners pay 12% of the first £175 of each order and 8% of the rest (see partner plans). Stripe takes our fee automatically when the customer pays, so there are no invoices to chase. Stripe’s own card fees also apply to your account.

Example: a customer buys a double bed for £500 with £40 delivery. The order total is £540. BedGuide’s fee is £62.75 (11.6% of the order). The rest goes to your Stripe account, less Stripe’s card fee.

Why sell through BedGuide?

BedGuide is a growing site. We do not promise a number of visitors or sales.

Questions from bed sellers

How can I sell beds online in the UK?

You can sell on your own website, on a general marketplace, or through a bed-focused marketplace like BedGuide. To sell on BedGuide, apply with your Companies House number and website, connect a Stripe account and send your product details. We check each listing. BedGuide takes 15% of the first £175 of each order and 10% of the rest, with no monthly fee.

Is there a UK marketplace just for beds and mattresses?

Yes. The BedGuide shop only lists beds, mattresses, headboards and bedding from verified UK companies. Each product page sits beside our free buying guides, so shoppers can check sizes and types before they buy.

Can a bed factory sell directly to the public through BedGuide?

Yes. UK bed manufacturers and factories can sell direct to customers. You are the seller, you set your prices and you deliver. You must meet UK consumer and fire-safety law for sales to the public.

Who is the seller when a bed is bought through BedGuide?

Your company is. The shopper pays your Stripe account, your business name appears on the order, and you deliver and handle returns. BedGuide runs the shop pages and checkout and takes its fee automatically through Stripe.

How much does it cost to sell on BedGuide?

There is no joining or monthly fee. BedGuide takes 15% of the first £175 of each order and 10% of the rest, on the total including delivery. Premium partners pay 12% of the first £175 of each order and 8% of the rest. Stripe also charges its normal card fees to your account.

How are orders sent to my company?

By email to your order address, the moment Stripe confirms payment. The email includes the item, size, price, delivery charge and the customer’s name, address, phone and email. The order also appears in your Stripe dashboard.

Who handles refunds and returns?

You do, from your Stripe dashboard and your own returns policy, within UK consumer law. If you refund an order in full, BedGuide refunds its fee for that order.

Do I need fire-safety labels to sell mattresses online?

Yes. Mattresses and upholstered beds sold in the UK must meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988. We ask for the fire-safety labelling of every product, usually BS 7177 for mattresses, and we pause listings that cannot show it.

How will shoppers and AI assistants find my products?

Each product page shows price, sizes, delivery and returns in a form that search engines and AI assistants can read. Pages are in our sitemap and machine-readable files. We cannot promise rankings or a number of sales.

Can I list my bed company without selling?

Yes. A verified directory listing is free. You can request one through our get-listed page and decide about selling later.

Will selling change how BedGuide writes about my company?

No. Selling never changes our guides or the A–Z order of the directory. Shop products are always labelled with who sells them.
