In short

Crib 5 is ignition source 5 in UK furniture fire testing: a small stack of burning wood used as a test flame. The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 use it to test foam fillings. The BS 7177 medium hazard grade also adds a source 5 test. Home mattresses are usually labelled low hazard instead.
