# TOG Rating

> TOG rating, or Thermal Overall Grade, measures how strongly a duvet resists heat flow. One TOG equals 0.1 m²·K/W under standard test conditions. In UK bedding, lower TOG means less insulation and higher TOG means more. TOG describes thermal resistance, not fill quality or duvet weight alone.

**Definition.** TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) measures thermal resistance of a textile such as a duvet. Higher TOG means greater insulation for the same construction class.

TOG is a thermal-resistance rating, not a subjective warmth score. Compare TOG
values only within the same product category and test method context.
