# No-Turn Mattress

> A no-turn mattress is single-sided. Its comfort layers sit on one face only, so you rotate it head to foot but do not flip it. Most modern UK mattresses are built this way, especially foam and pillow-top designs. Turnable, double-sided mattresses still exist. Follow the care label for the mattress you own.

**Definition.** A no-turn mattress has its comfort layers on one side only. You rotate it head to foot but never flip it over.

Also called: single-sided mattress, one-sided mattress, rotate only mattress.

Without maker instructions, UK bed-industry advice is to rotate weekly for the
first three months, then monthly.

Flipping a no-turn mattress puts you on the firm base layer and can affect the
warranty.
