# Body Impressions and Mattress Sag

> A body impression is a shallow dip in quilting or comfort foam where you sleep. Sag is deeper support loss where your spine line hammocks. Light impressions can be normal settlement. Progressive centre collapse, springs felt through the surface, or hips sitting below shoulders are replacement signals. Measure dip depth against the maker’s tolerance where stated.
