Affiliate disclosure

 Last updated 2026-10-21.

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a shop’s website. If you buy after
clicking it, the shop may pay BedGuide a small commission. On BedGuide,
every affiliate link is labelled “Ad · affiliate link”. You pay nothing
extra. Commission never changes what we write, which companies we list or
    their A–Z order.

## Which affiliate programmes are live today?

No affiliate programmes are live yet. Links to company websites
currently earn nothing. This page reads our company records, so it
will change on its own when a programme goes live.

## What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code added. The code
tells the shop that you came from BedGuide. If you then buy something,
the shop may pay us a small share of the sale. That share is called a
      commission.

An affiliate network is a company that runs these links for many shops.
Examples are Awin and CJ. The network counts the sale and pays the
      commission.

## How are affiliate links labelled on BedGuide?

Every affiliate link carries the label “Ad · affiliate link”
right next to it. Pages that contain affiliate links also show this note
      under the title:

“Ad – affiliate links: if you buy through a link marked “Ad”, BedGuide may earn a commission. It never changes what we explain, which companies we list or their A–Z order.”

A link labelled “Official website · no commission” is a plain link. It earns
BedGuide nothing. We only use the “Ad” label when a
programme is really live. We never add the label in advance, and we
      never hide it.

## What does rel="sponsored nofollow" mean?

Inside the page code, every affiliate link has the setting
rel="sponsored nofollow". This is a note for search engines
such as Google. It tells them the link is paid. It also tells them not
to count the link as a recommendation. You will not see it, but it keeps
paid links honest for search engines too.

## Does an affiliate link cost me more?

No. You do not pay extra for using the link. The shop pays the
commission out of its own money. The price is set by the shop, so
compare prices if that matters to you.

## Does commission change what BedGuide says?
No. These rules apply to every affiliate link:

- Payment never changes what our guides say.
- Payment never changes the A–Z order of the directory.
- Payment never buys a verification check, a badge we have not earned or the removal of a fact.
- Every paid placement and commission link is labelled where you see it.

We do not publish rankings, star ratings or “best mattress” lists. So
there is no ranking for commission to change. A company does not need an
affiliate programme to get a free directory profile.

## How are clicks counted?

Some links to company websites go through a short BedGuide address that
starts with /go/. It counts the click, then sends you
      straight to the company’s website.

- It counts clicks for each company, each place on BedGuide where the link sits, and each day.
- It notes whether the link earns commission, so we can match our counts to the network’s.
- It sets no cookies.
- It stores no personal data. No IP address and no visitor ID are saved.
- Links to a company’s own website add a source tag (utm_source=bedguide). It tells the company the visit came from BedGuide. It holds nothing about you.

Once you reach a shop’s website, that shop or its affiliate network may
set its own cookies. A cookie is a small file a website saves in your
browser. Their privacy and cookie policies apply there. Our
[privacy policy](/privacy/) and
[cookie policy](/cookie-policy/) explain what BedGuide itself
      does.

## Does BedGuide use Amazon affiliate links?

No. BedGuide does not use Amazon affiliate links. We are not part of the
Amazon Associates programme. A directory profile may still mention that a
company sells on Amazon, as a plain fact.

## How is this different from featured partners and the shop?

Affiliate links are one of three ways BedGuide earns money. Featured
partners pay for a labelled slot. Sellers in the BedGuide shop pay a fee
on each sale. All three follow the same rules. Read
[how BedGuide makes money](/how-we-make-money/) for the full
      picture.

## Who can I ask about a link?

If a link looks paid but has no label, please tell us. Email
[editorial@bedguide.co.uk](mailto:editorial@bedguide.co.uk) with the
page address. We check it and fix it.
